Practice
Therapy
I see therapy as a way to become more fully yourself. My approach is practical, collaborative and grounded in evidence-based treatment, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Areas of practice include mood and anxiety concerns, sleep and addiction, chronic health conditions, and the psychological effects of injury or illness.
Family-law assessment
I prepare independent family-law reports and psychological assessments in British Columbia. Depending on the referral and governing authority, this work may include Section 211 assessments, Views of the Child reports, parenting-capacity assessments, and other court-related psychological assessments.
Each referral begins with a careful review of scope, role, conflict, timing, and suitability.

Training in psychology
I hold psychology degrees from institutions in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. My doctoral training included a specialization in health psychology and a focus on interprofessional education.
-
I have worked in pain, diabetes, primary-care, and internal-medicine settings alongside physicians and other health professionals. That background informs therapy where physical and psychological health intersect.
-
I also accept selected consultation and presentation work related to psychology and family law.
-
Family-law assessment is an independent evaluative role. It is separate from therapy and is not advocacy for either party. It is also distinct from mediation, parenting coordination, and legal advice.
An initial inquiry is used to identify the service being requested and the information needed for a conflict and suitability review. Acceptance is confirmed only after the scope and terms have been established in writing.
Please do not send court documents, clinical records, detailed allegations, or confidential information through the website.
-
My advocacy work focuses on integrating psychologists into primary care so people can receive timely mental and behavioural health support through the healthcare settings they already use.
I worked with the British Columbia Psychological Association and the University of British Columbia Okanagan to develop and present the Primary Care Psychologist, or PCPsych, proposal.
-
My professional contributions include the 2021 BCPA Advocacy Award; service as Vice-President and Chair of Advocacy of the British Columbia Psychological Association; and helping to establish the BC Parenting Assessor Roster Society.
I have also completed assessments for WorkSafeBC, the Canadian Armed Forces, and immigration matters. In family law, I have consulted with counsel and presented to legal and professional audiences.
